Gold in the 2014 Southern Cross Packaging Awards

I designed this packaging as an entry for the 2014 Southern Cross Packaging Awards. The packaging had to be aesthetically pleasing and made from a selected Spicers paper stock, as well as utilising at least two premium print processes. The premium package mimics the poppy which is synonymous with war and the remembrance. It is a metallic printed pack which features a gloss varnish over the petals and an embossed black centre, giving the poppy depth. The package is reusable, providing the consumer with the option to reclose and use for decorative purposes or simply recycle it.
